The XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level MBA entrance test conducted by XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) a business school in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The XAT exam score is used for taking admission into management programs by XLRI Jamshedpur, Xavier Institute of Management, Goa Institute of Management and 100 business schools in India. It is considered one of the toughest entrance management exams in India that requires complete dedication from aspiring candidates. The 2017 XAT test will be conducted in 47 Test Centers and 02 International Centers (Dubai and Kathmandu). It is the second most popular management entrance exams after CAT exam.

Why XAT exam?                                                                                                                       

The XAT entrance exam is one of the most prestigious entrance management exams in India. Students who are looking to study management courses in reputed institutes in India, can utilize their XAT scores to get into top institutes of their choices. In 2017, XAT scores will be accepted in more than 100 recognized management institutes/universities in India besides XLRI Jamshedpur, Goa Institute of Management and Xavier Institute of Management.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate must be a graduate (a minimum of three years) in any discipline from a recognized university or must have complete their graduation by June 10, 2017.

How to register for XAT exam?

Registration:

  • Visit xatonline.net.in and click the “XAT Registration” section. Fill required details, enter a desired password and submit it. Once you submit the details, you will receive XAT ID by email (next time you visit xatonline.net.in, you can login using your XAT ID and password
  • Login to your XAT account and fill in necessary educational and other details. Also you can choose test center of your choice

Fee Payment:

  • Candidates need to pay Rs. 1,600 as XAT 2017 exam fee. Candidates interested in XLRI programme(s) needs to pay an additional fee of Rs.300/- each.

Mode of Payments:

  • Mode 1: Online Payment Gateway
  1. VISA/Master Credit/Debit Cards are accepted (American Express Card is inadmissible)
  2. IDBI Net Banking (Available only for IDBI account holder)
  • Mode 2: Cash Payment
  1. An applicant has to take print out of the XAT pay-in-slip and visit nearest IDBI bank and make cash payment
  • Mode 3: Demand Draft
  1. An applicant needs to get a DD made in favor of ‘XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT’ payable at Jamshedpur

 N.B. Applicants who are paying through Mode 2 or Mode 3 should update the payment details in the registration page.

Print XAT Confirmation page

Please quote your XAT ID in future for all correspondence with XAT office.

Send Confirmation page and the Demand Draft to,

The Chairperson Admission, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur- 831001. It must be sent within 15 days from the issuance of DD. In case, you have made the payment other than DD, then you are not required to send the Confirmation page.

How to prepare for XAT 2017?

Preparing for XAT 2017 requires a solid study plan, ability to work hard continuously and complete dedication. Aspiring candidates can follow the following useful tips for the XAT 2017 exam:

A Good Study Plan: Candidates can plan their studies strategically as per their individual requirements. They can schedule their time on a regular basis for learning new concepts, tracking current affairs, working on their weak areas, improving their speed & accuracy and evaluating themselves periodically

Practicing Mock/Sample/Previous Question Papers: Practicing as many as mock/previous question papers will enable a candidate to understand where he/she stands and can work on his/her areas of improvement. Candidates can evaluate and improve on their performance by solving test papers on a regular basis.

Focus and Continuous Efforts: To clear the XAT 2017 successfully, a candidate should be able to work hard with complete dedication on a continuous basis. It is also important that candidates should focus themselves on clearing the entrance exam.
