This initial treasure leads to huge gains with the EFFORTS taken for practice with or without a guide. However, the genuine or unfeigned guidance, whether through a teacher or a book, cuts short a lot of time which is wasted by the technical ignorance. Music can be learnt at any age. The earlier the better but there is no bar on learning even at an advanced age.
