If a person wants to become a singer, does he/she needs to know Carnatic or Hindustani? My question may be tricky. But I want some suggestion like at the age of 23 can a person become a singer by attending music classes? Thanks in Advance.

Carnatic/Hindusthani helps to understand the basics of singing like shruthi, swaras and gamakas that are essential for any playback singer or classical singers.
