At which age should a child start classical vocal music training?

"MUSIC TEACHER WITH MORE THAN 4 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE"

Between 8-10 years. Starting earlier (between 5-7) also is alright - mainly for the child to form discipline towards vocal training and confidence in general.

However, the recommended age is 7-8 years as at this point, the child's vocal cords are developed enough to be able to bear the strain the training would cause them. If they are keen on learning and show heavy interest, they can start their training at 6 years as well.

The best age for children to start is usually around the age of 4-5. Introducing children to Classical Music is important as it helps with their listening skills. Do not force your child to train. Play the music and let them listen to it. If they enjoy listening to it, put them in a vocal class. Children do not do well when they have no interest in learning. Classical singing is also not just a hobby. I personally think that you should only learn Classical Music if you truly want to better and improve yourself and not as a time pass activity. read less
