When buying a violin, here are a few important things to check: 1. Size: Make sure the violin is the right size for you. For beginners, especially children, it’s crucial to choose the correct size based on their arm length. 2. Build Quality: Check the quality of the wood. Good violins are typically made of solid spruce for the top and maple for the back and sides. 3. Sound: Play the violin or ask someone to play it for you. Listen to the tone—it should sound rich, clear, and even across all strings. 4. Accessories: Ensure it comes with essential accessories like a bow, rosin, and a case. The bow should feel balanced and comfortable to hold. 5. Condition: If buying a used violin, check for cracks, loose seams, or other damages. 6. Budget: Avoid cheap violins as they often compromise on sound and playability. A decent beginner violin starts at ₹5,000–₹10,000. Hi, I want to learn to play the violin, and I am not sure which violin to go for as a beginner. I don't have any local shop nearby, so I probably would have to order online. Can someone help with which violin I should buy?

You should always go to the store and check out yourself by playing on different acoustic instruments. Even if they look the same, the sound won't! Play by yourself and pick the one you like.
