with Vedic maths a child can use simple methods that help solve even complex calculations easily. It helps children solve their homework with ease and helps them take a liking to maths.

I don't think using only tricks are useful for teaching purpose. Instead, learn the thought process of how these tricks were developed. For example, instead of using methods in some specific situations...
