V Jaikumar is a Corporate Communications, Brand Building and Public Relations Professional with over 35 years of experience across different segments of the industry.


Recently retired as Head of Corporate Marketing, Brand Building and PR, from a Hitachi Group Company (Hitachi Hi-Rel Power Electronics Pvt. Ltd.) – he has also worked in the capacity of Deputy General Manager – MARCOM, with the French Multinational, Veolia Doshion Water Management Ltd.


From Advertising, he has worked across different industry segments such as Metals, Textiles, Education, Water Management and Industrial Power Electronics.


A Graduate in Economics and Post Graduate in Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations, he has hands-on experience in the areas of General Management, Production Planning, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Event Management, Press Relations, Liaison and dealing with various Government bodies and Departments.


In course of his career – he has been a Founding Member and Team Head – mandated with setting up an ICSE Board affiliated day-boarding school – at Ahmedabad, under the aegis of Eklavya Education Foundation. Today Ekalavya School is one of the leading institutions with a population of over 5000 students.


Besides Corporate Communication, he has successfully identified, pursued and concluded mutually beneficial alliances and partnerships with leading organizations abroad for the companies he has worked for – involved very actively in the process of due diligence, private equity placements or majority equity stakes by the foreign partner.


He is actively involved with Industry Associations like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Gujarat Electronics and Software Association (GESIA), Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) & Rotary Club of Ahmedabad.
