NCERT are the just the foundation and old NCERTs are necessary for History whereas other subjects can be learnt through New ones. Look for the PDFs before the rationalisation of Class 11 and 12 Textbooks ( due to Covid-19)

1 year just start your preparation before 2 months of prelims exam.
