  6.     While subsidies encourage farmers to use new technology, they are a huge burden on government finances. Discuss the usefulness of subsidies in the light of this fact.

  10.     Though public sector is very essential for industries, many public sector undertakings incur massive losses and are a drain on the economy’s resources. Discuss the usefulness of public sector undertakings in the context of above statement.
  11.     ‘The information technology has played a very significant role in achieving sustainable development and food security.’ - Comment.
  12.     What do you understand by DNA Bar-coding? Discuss its applications.
  13.     “In the present era, Indian achievement in Science and technology is confined to few sectors”. Identify those technological realms where India needs to focus more on ensuring the balance among all sectors?

  19.     Do you see the death penalty as an instrument of deterrence for terrorists? Despite the fact that some people also believe it is counterproductive. State your views in this regard and also suggest measures to restrict the terrorist activities with the help of psychological methods.
  20.     What do you understand by ‘Golden Triangle’ and ‘Golden Crescent’? How do they challenge in front of India’s security?
