Start with ncert for basics and then go for standard books. Know your syllabus and complete the syllabus write test series of pre and mains. Complete your optional subject and write test series. See online classes websites .. unacademy , insight , IAS baba follow all these

First of all , You should have a degree to apply. 1. Go with Limited Books and more number of study & Revision. 2. Practice Old Question papers 3. Go through the Syllabus thoroughly 4. Get some senior Advice.
