I think the best way to maintain the safety and security of an individual through Education and awareness.And it doesn't mean only the academic related aspect,it should include all the aspect through which the safety and security can be maintain.

There are different dimensions of safety and security of an individual ranging from personal physical, to social, political and financial etc. And all of these can be maintained in different ways. Education and Social belongingness is the root to all forms of security.

Always remember that you are alone i.e you are going to walk alone on your life's path. So as soon if you learn to do anything alone, will be better and that will provide safety and security . And above will be right when you have good education.
