1. Bottom Line: The central issue of a discussion, the main point.

Example: My friend wants to open an Institute in Lucknow. However, the bottom line for me is that we need more research before I invest any money.

2. Call on (someone) to speak: To ask someone to speak, to give someone permission to speak at a meeting.

Example: The chairman called on me to speak at the meeting.

3. Get off the ground: To make a successful beginning

Example: We were unable to get the new product off the ground but we will try again next year.

4. In the red: To be losing money, to be unprofitable

Example: The company has been in the red since the price of oil began to rise rapidly.

5. A number cruncher: An accountant, someone who works with numbers

Example: My new employee is a good number cruncher and I believe, he will grow leaps and bound in my organization.

Hello people,
I know it's so much important for each one of us to be fluent in English. Holding a high degree but hesitation in speaking English often leads to rejections. So, the very first step towards the improvement of your verbal English is to go through the daily newspapers, magazines and other sources(in English). One must try to start the conversation in English. It might take some time to be fluent but trust me practice makes a man perfect. Do not hesitate while learning because it results in delays. Let the others mock and laugh because they too are learning something from your hard work. One must never give up. Start focusing on punctuations while speaking that means when you are interrogating, it should sound like a query, not like an affirmative sentence. Be bold while speaking and have good vibes in your life so that they correct in spite of laughing at your back, they must make your labour a topic of their conversations that also leads to encouragement.
