In GRE the Analytical Writing Ability (AWA) provides a situation and you are asked to make a decision based on the underlying assumptions which you have to unearth by studying the problem. It tests your decision making ability as well as how analytical you are. In TOEFL/IELTS/PTE the primary goal is to see if you can write in good English and in a structured manner convey your message across to the other person. read less

GRE is more logical and lot of stress un critical thinking this is an imp tool while consideration for your application , while TOFEL writing section deals with major stress language and grammar .
