In GRE the Analytical Writing Ability (AWA) provides a situation and you are asked to make a decision based on the underlying assumptions which you have to unearth by studying the problem. It tests your decision making ability as well as how analytical you are. In TOEFL/IELTS/PTE the primary goal is to see if you can write in good English and in a structured manner convey your message across to the other person. read less

Because GRE writing modules are more about Logical and Quantitative Analysis (eg: mathematical problems) which is not same in the case of IELTS/TOEFL. Hope this helps. Please leave us a review if you find it useful.

GRE is more logical and lot of stress un critical thinking this is an imp tool while consideration for your application , while TOFEL writing section deals with major stress language and grammar .
