Firstly, familiarize yourself with the TOEFL test format, and understand the marking scheme and question types. Use standard resources to prepare for each TOEFL section. Start with the speaking section and then move on to reading. Practice using standardized tests and time yourself to see how long you take. Next, practice writing essays on 5 to 10 topics and self-evaluate yourself using the standard rubric to assess your level. Finally, move on to the listening section. Listen to audio recordings from authentic resources to get an idea of the kind of text, the pace, and the accents. In the last two to three days, practice mock tests so that you can determine the time allocation for each section in order to complete the paper on time. Make sure you sleep well the night before the exam since you need enough stamina to undergo a 4.5-hour test! read less
