S Sandhiya

I teach vocal music, focusing mainly on beginners, and have been guiding students for over 10 years. My aim is to help students build a strong foundation in vocal techniques, musical understanding, and rhythm, while making learning enjoyable and engaging.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music from Chidambaram Annamalai University and have also completed a certified vocal music course from the District Music School. My training began in childhood under the guidance of Shri Kasivisweswaran, an eminent vocalist and violinist, who is a direct disciple of Padma Vibhushan Shri K. J. Yesudas and Padma Shri Shri M. S. Gopalakrishnan. Their musical legacy has deeply influenced my teaching and performance style.

I specialize in helping students sing in their appropriate Sruthi (pitch), maintain proper Talam (rhythm), and master a wide variety of simple devotional songs and bhajans. I also prepare students to confidently perform in stage shows and school events, ensuring they gain both musical skill and stage presence.

Additionally, I coach students in Thevaram and Thiruppugazh compositions, integrating rhythm exercises to strengthen their musical foundation. My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and customized to suit the needs of young learners, keeping the sessions fun-filled and interactive.

Over the years, I have conducted voice culture workshops across the Thiruvannamalai district, helping students understand advanced aspects of vocal training and voice modulation. Attending workshops led by renowned artists has further enriched my teaching methods, giving me insights into rare and unique compositions.

I have also been performing on stage across South India since my childhood, which has provided strong exposure to live music and performance techniques. This experience allows me to guide my students not only in vocal skills but also in confidence, stage presence, and overall musical expression.

I conduct online classes, making it accessible for students from different locations to benefit from structured, interactive, and high-quality vocal music training. My goal is to nurture talent while instilling a love for music in every student.
