Jothi Vijayaraj

I am a vocal music teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience, primarily working with beginners and helping them build a strong foundation in music. My passion for music began at a young age, and over the years, I have dedicated myself to both learning and teaching, making the journey enriching for myself and my students.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, and have also completed a certified vocal music course from the District Music School. My formal education has given me a solid grounding in both theoretical and practical aspects of music.

My initial training started in childhood under the guidance of Shri Kasivisweswaran, an eminent vocalist and violinist. Being trained under a guru from such a rich musical lineage, connected to legends like K. J. Yesudas and M. S. Gopalakrishnan, has deeply influenced my understanding of music and shaped my teaching style.

Over the years, I have taught many students and helped them develop essential vocal skills, musical understanding, and a sense of rhythm. I focus on making sure that students are comfortable with the basics, as I believe a strong foundation is key to long-term growth in music.

I conduct both online and offline classes, ensuring flexibility for learners. My teaching methodology is structured and student-friendly, where each lesson is planned step by step, starting from basic concepts and gradually progressing based on the student’s pace and ability.

My classes are interactive and practice-oriented, with equal emphasis on theory and practical training. I include vocal exercises, swara practice, rhythm training, and regular revision in my sessions. I also provide personalized attention to each student, ensuring that learning remains simple, effective, and enjoyable throughout their musical journey.
