It's definitely a matter of your inner calling. A particular style of singing or compositions which clearly appeal to you should be able to help you decide. I have been practicing Indian Classical for more than 18years but there is still so much to learn and perfect. But I know I can undoubtedly go on, because I am absolutely in love with Indian Classical Music and its intricacies.
As far is training goes both the styles would give you holistic development, but it definitely depends on your commitment and unconditional dedication.
