Tableau is the easiest tool to learn. But if you learn both informatica & Tableau Then it is good. Because one ETL tool + one Reporting tool is always best

You can learn both of them depending on your requirement. Tableau is a Business Intelligence (BI) data visualization tool which helps to understand insights of your data whereas Informatica is an ETL (Extraction Transformation Loading) tool mainly used in data warehousing application.

Hi Priyanka - Tableau is a data visualization tool used primarily in Data Science/Analytics and Business Intelligence. It is one of the most powerful and easiest tool for exploring and understand your data. It can be connected to almost all possible data formats (DBs, Excel, CSV, Cloud, AWS etc.) and you can create beautiful visula understanding of the data in few clicks. Informatica is a ETL/Data Intergration tool. Which is used for extrating data from a variety of source systems and transform it in required format, integrate and load them in a data warehouse or operational data store which can further be used for reporting, OLAP or for further statistical analysis. So these 2 are primarily created for different purposes and are really good in their respective areas. If you are a BI person then learning both is highly recommended. If you are a person who deals with data of any kind and would like to visualizile/analyse it then Tableau is highly recommended. Regards, Arun Data Scientist read less
