How can I connect my HTML page to the SQL server using JavaScript and without C# or vb.net? I want to upload a text area value to my database table.

You can use node.js with your javascript for the same.

You still need to have a c#, visual basic or even php file in order to communicate with the server. You can use javascript to send the data with ajax to the file, and then the file will write it to the database.

As you are strong and interested in SQL, why not to choose ETL Testing? It has a good career ahead in data projects. To survive in the market, you need both Oracle & SQL Server. Actually, both are almost same but are different products.
