Why the students are lacking communicative skill?

Nowadays students are more interested in sms language which is not at all appropriate in the industry. They opt for shortcuts in everything and hence cannot communicate properly as their knowledge is confined.

English is not our everyday language. Yes, the subject is being taught at a large scale and is being stressed on in the curriculums but the same is not being adapted in spoken platforms, that is why the students lack in terms of their spoken english skills.
