Hi Swati I am a clinical psychologist. I received a query from you and from the above two lines I do feel you lack self confidence. This could be due to many reasons. To know the causes you can introspect and write down the points that you feel are your strengths and weaknesses. Communication definitely can be a deterrent if you are unable to interact because of language difficulties or other issues. To master any language it is necessary to practice it daily. Understand the basic grammar and learn two new words each day. Read English books. To gain self esteem and confidence I would suggest you see a psychologist . These days there are a lot of therapies and strategies like CBT and other behavioural therapies for the same. This will not only help you understand your thoughts and behaviour patterns but also help modify the ones that are not helping. If you want I can help with these issues and see where the actual root lies. I am out of the country at the moment.Do message me though. Take care. read less

"use your native language". :- many have this misunderstanding that english is the de-facto language. Not True. you will be surprised how the customers relax when you speak in the native language. But a word of caution, don't get carried away with the native language , interject with "good english" helps to close the sale. read less

I am in a place called Kannamangalam.  What is the correct usage? 'I am in Kannamangalam' or ' I am at Kannamangalam'.

Why modern-day writers have discarded using 'at' for villages.

Since "Kannamangalam" is a place, you need to use 'in'. Using 'at' will make your sentence sound off. So, you should say, "I am in Kannamangalam".
