Use the dictionary effectively. Know the meaning of the word in its right context. Learn the whole phrase not merely the word. Collocation is important. Just as you listen, learn what word goes with what word. These things hasten your process of learning. In three months you can get a hang of the language. Within six months you gain proficiency.
