In English, the same word, when used with a different word, acquires a completely different meaning. Example: 'pass by' and 'pass away'. So it is imperative to understand in what context the word is used. The best way to learn to speak in my opinion is, therefore, to have regular conversations with people conversant with English. However, if you do not come across fluent users of English frequently, I would suggest that you watch English TV shows (preferably the ones with subtitles). They are great way of learning the different contexts, in which words are used, and picking up conversational skills. But for that you need to have great listening skills. (The key to picking up any language is to acquire listening skills before you aim to acquire speaking skills). As regards Emails: I would suggest you search on the internet, there is enough material available. read less
