Since the entire cultivated area of 200 hectares had come under irrigation farmers did not have to depend on rainfall and could grow multiple crops. (iii) It helps small businesses run their machinery like Mishrilal's sugarcane crushing machine. read less

Earlier Persian wheels were used to irrigate the fields, but now irrigation was done by electric tube Wells in Palampur. 2nd it helped the businessman to make their work easier by electronic machines. 3rd it was a cheap and pollution-free resource. Thus we can say it helped the farmers.

But now with the help of electricity they could irrigate much larger areas in lesser time and much effectively. - With the improved irrigation system as a result of the use of electricity, they could grow different crops round the yea - They did not have to depend on monsoon rains which were uncertain and erratic. -As a result of use of electricity the farmers of Palampur also got rid of many manual labour, anxieties etc. read less
