Why do artists sketch in blue pencil?

It's have not any rules to sketch with blue pencil. You can decide that what you choose to sketch. Basically every artist use normal graphite pencil for drawing and sketch. It would be various density like 2b, 4b, 8b, 10b etc. If you want to colour your drawing you can use coloured pencil to colour.
