Hi i am Rounaque. I am 20 now. I am quite passionate about singing but i never got a chance to learn. I know nothing of our classical singing . If i work hard to learn indian classicals should i be able to learn it or is it something which can only be inherited, i dont have a musical background

It's good to have known your passion about singing and your interest in Classical Music. Your age is not a barrier at all to learn this genre of music. Nobody comes inherited with the knowledge of music. The only thing that counts is how passionately you learn the music and practice it continuously. Good question; you can learn classical as well as western, you don't need inherited support\quality. Everythng in can be learned and improved but yes there is some thing called voice texture people have diff. voice texture or we call it sometime differnt voice tone just like we have people with diff. height\weight, appreriance, faces.So, just like when a person become athelete, he can't do much with his already haveheight\boday structure but he\she build-up strenght, stamina, endurance, sence of great timing etc. So, hence yes u can also dowonders in singing with your current god gifted voice :) read less
