The SAT tests four main subjects: 1. *Reading*: Tests reading comprehension, vocabulary, and understanding of passages from literature, history, science, and social studies. 2. *Writing and Language*: Tests grammar, syntax, and writing skills, including editing and revising passages. 3. *Math (without calculator)*: Tests basic math concepts, including: - Algebra - Geometry - Trigonometry - Data analysis 4. *Math (with calculator)*: Tests more advanced math concepts, including: - Algebra - Geometry - Trigonometry - Data analysis - Graphs and charts The optional *Essay* section tests writing skills and ability to support a claim with evidence. Note that the SAT does not test specific subjects like biology, chemistry, or physics, but rather general reading, writing, and math skills. read less
