Hi I completed my btech in ece stream and right now I am doing my mba in finance so will it be helpful for me to go for sap fico and will it be in demand?

It will be helpful to do SAP FI&CO cource if you are inclination to be a functional consultant.SAP FICO has a very good demand in the market.FICO needs very good accounting knowledge.

Get a good hold all the accounting fundamentals and the flow of the accounting transactions.Since you are from a non commerce background ensure that you get a very good hold over the financial terminology. FICO needs a good accounting knowledge.

Hi Faizaan, Fico does have good demand but the salary provided will be 8000/- pm to 10000/- pm. As you have completed Btech go for SAP MM module. Your finance knowledge will be helpful for integration topics. Dont go for SAP FICO

Dear Faizan,If you are determined to get into Accounts, getting SAP FiCo job is not that difficult.For consultants like you, difficulties will start after getting a job. Because you do not have exposure in accounting job. And therefore you dont have any idea on these areas (business process, business practice, accounting laws, legalities and much more). With only bookish knowledge you would not be able to handle clients effectively (but with pressure and huge efforts, you may manage leaving an average impression of yourself - this is a different story).I suggest you to take up an accounting jon in any manufacturing company particularly, work there for couple of years (atleast 2-3 years) and simultaneously learn SAP FiCo (long term). So that you grow in essential pre-requisites (domain experience and SAP knowledge).Regards, Mustafa read less
