A good tester has basic knowledge of programming and scripting languages like Java, VBScript, JavaScript, etc. Knowledge of languages is not a must, but is necessary. Knowing SQL concepts and DBMS concept is a plus point for any a QA

What is the disadvantage of black box testing?
Without clear functional specifications, test cases are difficult to implement. It is difficult to execute the test cases because of complex inputs at different stages of testing. Sometimes, the reason for the test failure cannot be detected.
