I teach chemistry and mathematics and have been doing so for the past five years. I am a B.Tech graduate, and while I do not hold formal certifications in teaching, my experience has taught me effective ways to make complex scientific concepts understandable and engaging for students.
For the last three years, I have been associated with Zen Academy, where I primarily teach science subjects. During this time, I have worked with students who initially struggled with understanding core concepts. By breaking down difficult topics into simpler explanations and using practical examples, I have helped many students improve their academic performance significantly.
My teaching philosophy centers on understanding each student’s current knowledge level. I start by assessing what they know and then work on strengthening their basics through consistent reading and writing practice. I believe this steady approach helps students build confidence and master the subject.
I particularly enjoy encouraging students to be active participants in their learning. Instead of simply explaining everything, I prompt them to read and analyze the material on their own. This method helps develop critical thinking skills and a deeper grasp of the content.
One of my proudest achievements was working with a 9th-grade student who struggled to read and write Marathi properly. After three months of focused effort using my teaching methods, the student not only improved drastically but also won first prize in a Marathi reading competition.
I conduct my classes online, which allows me to reach students across various locations. I strive to create an interactive and encouraging environment that motivates students to ask questions and explore the subjects further. My goal is to make chemistry and math both approachable and interesting.
