I'm Sushmita Kulkarni; I have done my intensive dance training from the renowned Bollywood choreographer Shiamak Davar's company and worked under his company for two years, then started with my dance academy named "Sushmita's Soul Dance Academy". I teach five styles - Bollywood, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and semi-classical. I have classes for all age groups, from 3 and a half yrs to 80 yrs. I have different batches for different age groups. I am also into wedding and event choreographies and make your wedding a precious memory.

I was a college student at the University of Sydney, Australia, and am now continuing my education in India. While in Sydney, I taught Bollywood to students from different backgrounds and cultures as a part of the Movement and Dance Society for one year. The classes consisted of a warm-up routine followed by teaching a choreography typically lasting 1-1.5 minutes on Bollywood songs within 30-45 mins followed by shooting videos for the social media pages. I have experience in communicating effectively even with language barriers and simplifying choreographies to make them understandable and enjoyable, even for people who have never danced to Bollywood songs before. While my specialization was Bollywood jazz-funk, I can teach hip-hop, freestyle, jazz, etc in Bollywood as well. I can teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced styles and I am flexible to students' needs and demands, making changes to the choreography as required. I have been dancing since I was a kid and Bollywood has always been what I am best at. I can also prepare choreographies on popular English songs. I am into improv dancing and choreographing.

That dance today is a culture, and the scenario has changed over the past years. when i started my career in dance, people used to bog me down by saying it wont bear you any fruits. dance is good as a hobby but you wont be able to get ahead in this profession. and look at me today, look at the amount of talent that India holds today in dance. but to harness that talent, it is the responsibility of the gurus and teachers to guide the students in a right way. my aim is not to earn money or do business, but bring forward the right kind of talent and knowledge and pass it on to each and every person who deserves it, or is keen to learn. today, after more than a decade of being in this field, he has not only learnt the various dance forms of the world, but has researched and implemented them practically, and continues to do so with grace and elan
