  Ask a Question
Since the boat full of stones is floating in the pond, so the weight of the stone is balanced by the buoyant force. The stones displaces water of equal weight. But when the stones are dropped in the water, it displaces water of equal volume. Since the density of stone is more than water, so the stone will displace less water when inside it. Due to this the level of water will fall.
