"I don't have a guitar. Is there an alternate way where I can learn guitar for few days until I purchase one?" in Guitar Classes
Do you take books to school ? Do you take your compass box, pencils, erasers, pens etc to school/college ? Whey then, don't you invest in a guitar when you want to learn to play it ? Unless you have your own instrument, you will not really be interested in learning, as you do not invest in the instrument. If one is really interested, then one should buy the instrument, just as you would buy books, compass box, pencils etc, to attend school. Remember, the institute where you learn is also a school, where you learn. Even if you change your school, the books remain the same ! The crux of the matter is a commitment to learning. If you are committed, why then, delay buying your own instrument. Cheers.
"Can anyone learn both western and Indian classical music?" in Western Vocal Music Classes
Music has no age barrier.
"I am in my late thirties. But I want to learn guitar very much. How long it will take for me to learn? " in Guitar Classes
Learning to play the guitar is not a joke. Or any instrument, for that matter. It takes hours and hours of practice turning into years. At the minimum (unless you are exceptionally talented) you will need to practice for a minimum of 2 years to be able to play something worthwhile listening to. Tell me, did you finish the first 10 years of school in a hurry ? Did you pass out of school in say, 3,4,5 years ? Then why the hurry for the guitar. Please understand that this is an art... talent.... which has to be developed (provided you have some, to start with). Just as you would learn your tables, sums, science and other subjects in school, so it is with the guitar (or any instrument). You just cannot do it in a short period. Moreover, the guitar is a physical instrument, requiring you to develop your finger muscles (which are difficult to control) to an extent that you can control each finger as you wish, individually. Love the music, love the guitar and keep practicing...WITHOUT expecting immediate results. One day... and soon enough, you'll find that you can play well. Patience, practice and perseverance are the three P's to learning any musical instrument. All the best.
"I am interested in learning both vertical and horizontal flutes. Firstly a vertical one. Is it feasible to learn such musical instrument ONLINE? Are you conducting any classroom session for online students to access their progress? Considering my age, will you take any extra efforts ? " in Instrumental Music classes
Firstly, please appreciate that music is not something one learns on-line. It's not a business. It's education... and that too, an art. You must be in touch with your 'Guru' directly, to be able to learn, to understand, to grasp, to be able to reproduce correctly. And for that you must be in direct contact with your teacher, not through some medium. There are so many factors, that cannot be elucidated here, which are the basis of learning and hence I am of the opinion that on-line teaching is just a way of making long term money, without really imparting any teaching or learning.
