I am Ashok B, an experienced and passionate music teacher specializing in Hindustani Vocal Music and Piano. With over 25 years of expertise in both classical music and modern piano techniques, I have honed my skills under the guidance of renowned Gurukul Talim in Kolkata and Swarsagar Music Classes. In these sessions, I introduce students to various techniques, music theory, and performance skills, helping them develop not only their technical proficiency but also their emotional expression through music. For Hindustani vocal music, I teach students the intricacies of ragas, taals, and basic vocal techniques, emphasizing the importance of voice modulation, breath control, and emotional connection to the music. For piano, I begin with the fundamentals of the instrument, progressing to more complex compositions. My goal is to create a learning environment that is both enjoyable and educational, where students can explore their musical talents and reach their full potential. One of the unique aspects of my teaching is the emphasis on practical learning. Whether it’s vocal music or piano, I believe that students learn best by doing. I also provide a musical exam structure, such as Grade 2 piano exams, to help students track their progress and work towards tangible goals.
