I have learnt Tabla under the guidance of Pt. Tanmoy Bose for the last 17 years. I am from Kolkata, West Bengal and i am residing here to study sound engineering. I have assisted my guruji for more than 7 years and has taken his classes when he went abroad. So I have a experience of 4 years of teaching also. I used to be a visiting faculty for percussion in Shakiri Begum Memorial Trust which is basically Ustad Rashid Khan's School of Music. I have been also playing in concerts with my instrumental band, with my guru and some different experimental projects. Music is a way not just to relax, but it is my way of talking to my consciousness. It is my way of finding answers. Playing music and listening to music while traveling is my favorite hobby. I started my journey back in the days of my B-tech, on my own. Surprisingly i didn't have a teacher other than the mighty Internet. Now i want to teach because it took me more time to simply learn things from the web. There are many things that experience can only teach. I am here to accelerate the learning process. Some of the important skills like posture, listening, habits are challenging to be taught online. Added to this having a person jamming with you, oh, that is a pleasure you should try at-least once. I am not a believer in theory, although it is a necessary evil. I teach in a way that is more fun, enjoyable and then i start going into theory gradually.
