Ms. Desh pande the mistress of her dance or its servant? Both. At times you felt her surrendering to its impulse as she allowed her torso to sway gorgeously; at times you felt the brilliance of her control as she changed an already elaborate rhythm with her feet. The rhythmic complexity and the intricate physical coordination of her solo proved astonishing. - Alastair Macaulay, Dance Critic, The New York Times in 2009.

I teach classical belly dance mainly focusing on core strength, body toning and body isolation. I have been in professional performing troops and also performed for Zee Yuva award show. I also conduct workshops at various studios around Pune. Depending on my student's needs I take private sessions to help them in a better way. Teaching style includes the introduction to the form and history of belly dance. Body conditioning to help them advance with the technique. Introduction to Arabic rhythms and musicality. Core strengthening exercises and much more. Whether you intend to study belly dance for fun, fitness, or to become a performer, you will be introduced to a new world of thinking, feeling and moving. I take proactive steps to help you move forward in your dance development. So get ready to believe in yourself, because everything is possible!
