I am a professional bharatanaatyam dancer, teacher, choreographer with a combined experice of more than 12 years. Completed my M.A. in bharatanaatyam from Centre for Performing Arts, Univ of Pune. Cleared UGC-NET in bharatanaatyam. I try to impart thorough knowledge of this dance form to my students and teach in a way as to develop various of my students' traits wrt dance. Apart from teaching and performing, I am a curator and have curated a number of performances and festivals in recent times. I have written scripts and songs for my performances. I have learnt directly in the Guru-Shishya Parampara from SNA awardee and Padmashri Dr. Shovana Narayan. I am trained in the Lucknow as well as Jaipur style of Kathak. I have performed extensively, recieved high critical acclaim nationally, as well as received three national level awards for Kathak. I have vast knowledge on other Indian classical dance forms, as well as new directions in Indian dance, choreography, German dance theatre, contemporary dance. I hold a degree of M.Phil in German studies, and have studied also the Natyashastra. I conduct online Kathak workshops as well as teach at my home.
