I have been playing guitar for more than 10 years and certified in western Classical Guitar which has made me proficient in finger style playing. My personal interests include Rock, Alternative rock, Blues etc.Having played with multiple musicians since 2010 has given me a great insight of how music across different genres work and appeals to a listener. As a teacher, I have taught guitar at IIT Mumbai from 2012-2015 which was a 10 week program for freshers. Besides that between 2010-2015 I have given private classes to numerous individuals in Mumbai.

I am a computer engineer who chose the path of music. I started playing guitar and performing live shows with my band when I was in college. After my graduation, I was working as a manager at a music store and a marketing consultant for an online website that sells professional gear related to guitars. I have always been teaching guitar side by side. It's been 10+ years since I picked up the guitar. I have learned to play other instruments as well like Ukulele and drums. This class is designed for beginners on the guitar or players who would like to fill in the gaps in their basic overall knowledge of the instrument. The idea is to get you playing right away. This course will cover fretboard knowledge, basic techniques, chords, strumming, basic improvisation, basics of finger-style technique, standard notation/tablature, and basic concepts in music theory that can be used to read & write music and figure out songs by ear. Most of the music played in this class will be drawn from the Indian Film music with some from American songs.

1) I teach guitar from very basics to make first Theory and fundamentals strong. 2)Then I give students some exercises to practice and slowly then proceed toward mastering their raw skills. 3)After this I conduct hearing practices to differentiate between the multiple instruments used in the songs so that student can understand what part of guitar is being played in that particular song this gives idea to learners that what chords/tabs/lead or riffs are played in the song and now how they can now create their own stuff.
