I am an engineer by training and an educator by passion. Presently, I work with The Akanksha Foundation in Pune, leading their Pune Operations. I completed my graduation in 2011 from Jadavpur University in Kolkata. Post my graduation, I worked with organizations like Tata Steel and Teach For India. I have been a Fellow with Teach For India from 2015-2017 wherein I taught Mathematics to students of 8th, 9th and 10th graders. My teaching experience comprises of my Fellowship with Teach For India and I have also engaged in providing tuitions to students of 8th-10th grade during my graduate studies in Kolkata.

I have Seven years of teaching experience and hold an MSc in Physics and a B.Ed. Throughout my life, I have nurtured a deep desire to become a teacher and positively impact young minds. My journey in education has been enriching, and I have had the opportunity to work with various educational institutions. One of my amazing experiences was at the National Public School in Bangalore. I participated in a talent program for math games aimed at helping students crack the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). In addition to my time in Bangalore, I have worked with two schools in Pune. These experiences broadened my perspective on teaching and exposed me to different teaching methodologies. I thoroughly enjoyed engaging with students from diverse backgrounds and tailoring my teaching approach to their specific needs. I provide online tuition through Urban Pro; I specialise in teaching mathematics, science, and Vedic maths to students from grades first to eighth. My teaching sessions are conducted in the morning and evening, each lasting an hour. I strive to create an interactive and discussion-oriented environment where students actively participate in the learning process. To support my online teaching, I make use of various resources. I incorporate videos, which help to visually explain complex concepts and provide comprehensive notes for students to refer to outside of class. Additionally, I develop worksheets that reinforce the topics covered in the course, allowing students to practice and consolidate their learning. One of the most fulfilling aspects of my teaching career is witnessing my students achieve excellent scores and progress academically. Seeing them develop a strong understanding of the subjects I teach brings me immense joy and makes me gain confidence in their abilities.
