About Us

British Connections story began in 2005 when Ray and Sulabha Chadwick made a decision to take early retirement from their ongoing and lucrative business which was carried out in five different countries. Their busy lives did not allow enough time for India, home and their two children. Since they were satisfied and very comfortable with their achievements, they returned to India to settle down and enjoy the company of their children. They chose Pune City as they were told that it is “Pensioners paradise” and that sounded just right.

Ray is a Golf addict so he was happy to “Pitch a tent” at the Pune Golf Course but as for Sulabha, within three months of retirement the restlessness started creeping in. She needed to be busy doing something; retirement did not suit her. The Pune newspapers were full of advertisements for English Classes, Personality Development Classes, Voice & Accent Classes etc, and reading this every morning she made up her mind to start a 100% Quality Institution to “Make a difference in the lives of the people” and when it was decided they named their Institution “British Connections” you see Ray is the British element and Sulabha is the Connections. Ray being British, does not speak Hindi nor any other Indian language and therefore Sulabha became his Connection.
