Dear Alby, The reasons behind the low pronunciation score in PTE Academic are many. If you don’t pronounce words with proper vowels and consonants your score will go down, also you should stress words & phrases correctly. Your response should be immediately understandable. So my advice is that, listen more English, and speak more English. There are many dictionary websites with audio on internet where you can learn the perfect pronunciation so practice it, then record your voice and see how it sounds. It will build confidence in you. PTE Academic recognizes regional & native varieties of English pronunciation at the extent that they are understandable. You should be proud of where you come from. Hope you are, so be confident in what you speak because not many people can speak more than one language. I have trained many Chinese, Japanese & European students for IELTS & PTE Academic training but I have found that learning a new language & pronunciation is not a big deal for Indians. All you have to do is attempt it. read less
