Hi For some 65 on PTE is 7 band on the IELTS. For some 79 on PTE is 8 band on the IELTS. It depends with age as well. Regards, Sridhar S

NO you won't be penalized. It just looks at your knowledge of the language and doesn't test for your accent as they realize you are a non-native speaker.
