0In recent years the spatial planners have forgotton the values of Regional Planning. This has caused lot of discrepancies in analysing the meso level data. While we are good at micro level analysis and adopt easily a village as unit for consideration, we jump at State as next highest unit. Some issues are interstate connected issues which are missed, thereby leading to conflicts similar to Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Punjab, and Haryana. It is time for India to delineate as many regions as possible similar to Capital Region of Delh . I invite students to come out with their ideas as to how one can carve out a region which might convince the people and administrators.
