Poor posture: This can cause body pain and affect your technique and tone. @ Ignoring details: It's not enough to just press the right keys, you also need to press them with the right weight and dynamics. Sitting too close to the piano: This can limit your range of motion and make it hard to play correctly. • Starting each line on the same note: When improvising, try starting on different notes from the scale. Not counting to yourself: While using a metronome is important, you should also count to yourself to help you set an internal rhythm.
