Yes they do. They are arranged in different orders depending on how you are playing the chord on any instrument, but the notes are the same. Some of them might even be repeated, for example, C major chord contains the notes C, E and G. On a guitar when you play the open C Major on all 6 strings, you would be playing E C E G C E. Here, E is repeated 3 times, C is repeated 2 times and G is just once. Despite all that, the notes are still C, E and G. read less
