When I watch movies or tv series I sometimes mirror my favorite characters personality subconsciously. Why do I do this? Is it common?

It is but natural to mimic behaviors of people we admire. One reason could be that we see a little bit of ourselves in them. In this way, we relate to those characters. Subconsciously we begin to mirror our mannerisms, sometimes even adapt values and beliefs from them.

Follow your heart but take your brain with you.

Of course , in our brain there are mirror neurons, which will mirror what the character in a TV show is doing.So its always recommended to watch inspiring movies.
