Hey!
Dance is a process; it's a journey where you reach different stages. Perfection is something no one can claim. But in a month or two, one can be conditioned for any dance form. Then the process starts. Now it depends on which dance form you are learning. All Indian classical dance forms, Belly Dance etc., takes excellent understanding and time where Bollywood demands less.

I wouldn't say dance is not about efforts. If you want to learn something, you have to put efforts and get disciplined, but at the time you should enjoy it to the core. First, you must research about dance styles which interest you the most. Some dance forms like classical, Belly dance, Animation takes years of practice and discipline. Key is discipline and training.
