Teaching Experience in detail in Spoken English classes

Students who have trained under me have progressed very fast due to my simple but effective teaching technique. Most of them are those who are working in private establishments, who have realized that they could do their jobs better and earn their promotions sooner only if they had good communication skills in English. I help them to learn "office relevant" sentences and encourage them to practice with me and gradually they become perfect in asking questions and replying correctly to many questions asked. I also teach youngsters who are in school, who find grammar very difficult to understand. But children grasp faster and by making them UNDERSTAND grammar, they soon begin to converse quite fluently with lesser grammar mistakes. With continuous coaching, they definitely go on to speak with confidence by the time they reach college level. A good coach is very much essential for any person who desires to learn English. However, nothing is learnt overnight. It takes time and lots of interest on the part of the learner to be able to progress rapidly. As a tutor, I make sure that we do not rush fast on the coaching but go at a comfortable pace which varies from student to student. However, EVERYBODY CAN learn to speak English well. It is only a matter of time. But one must not quit coaching in between. At least 3 to 6 months of coaching is absolutely necessary to have substantial improvement. Confidence levels keep increasing day by day.

It takes time and lots of practice with other people who speak good English. Sentence repetitions at varying speeds will help to greatly improve your fluency but the grammar has to be right, otherwise fluency alone will not make the impact. Consider hiring a trainer for at least 3 months.

Dear Yogender: Learning English requires a lot of patience, and one can only learn to speak and write English without grammar mistakes, slowly, gradually over some length of time, by remembering the corrected versions and trying best not to repeat them. Reading short story books which have a lot of "dialogues" in them is much recommended because you can learn to use those dialogues during your conversation with someone. Also, reading books helps to increase your vocabulary, which is very much necessary, both to understand as well as to impress others by using such words. Consider, for example, an Indian, who had returned from the US doing some odd job. His relatives asked him "What work did you do in the US?" The man replied, "I worked as a Rodent Exterminator." Some thought it was a BIG job. However, the one who knew English translated it for them in simple words as "he means rat killer." Haha. I gave this example just for fun but also to let you know how it could make a difference in the impact of the speech. Therefore, it is essential that you continue to get coaching with trainers who can keep correcting your grammar, and help you progress in your English Speaking and Writing standards consistently. Do not feel that the time and money spent on "coaching" is a "waste." You will definitely appreciate it someday in the future when you are able to speak English very fluently and very correctly too. It has also enabled you to accept higher responsibilities in your job. So, good luck and best wishes, Yogender. Keep going slow and steady. :)

If you have a poor vocabulary, you need first to UNDERSTAND the meaning of the English word. You can do better if you get the meaning of it in your mother-tongue first. Once you know the meaning, it becomes easier to remember. "How to think in English" is a wrong statement. Our thoughts do not have language. Their interpretations are made depending on whatever language you are comfortable. The mind then translates the outcome into the language that you desire to communicate with. If you want to say it in English, then you must have a good vocabulary, fluency, and regular practice so that you form sentences without grammar mistakes. This is the JOB of a trainer. So find a good trainer who can help you speak well.
