I'm Shaheen Shaikh. I live in Mumbai. I have 4 years of work
experience and my highest qualification is HSC passed and currently
pursuing BA from Sk somaiya college. I'm working with the Antarang
Foundation Career Aware Facilitator .India Career Aware is a program where Antarang Foundation works with students of Grade 9 in municipal schools. The aim of the program is to provide Career Guidance by exposing students to 40 plus careers, assessing, and identifying the careers that are best suited for them and providing individual counselling sessions. My role: CareerAware is Antarang's flagship career guidance program. Through a tightly delivered, intensive two year program, CareerAware guides students from Grade 9th and 10th in municipal schools or low-income private schools to make relevant yet aspirational career plans. CareerAware facilitators are thus trained by Antarang to be Career Guidance Counsellors through an intensive 15-day training program. The training enables the facilitators to become adept at using the CareerAware tool. r My responsibilities:
1. Instill a safe, healthy learning culture where students actively collaborate and take ownership of the program
2. Follow the proprietary curriculum designed by Antarang.
3. Build professional relationships with school principals, teachers and program coordinators.
4. Ensure all outcomes for the program are met in all assigned schools 5. Document reports about the progress of students.
6. Give periodic critical feedback about the program, content and operations to relevant teams.
