Hello! My name is Sandipa Dutta, and I am a passionate vocalist and performing arts instructor based in Mumbai. I am teaching for last 15 years and i also teach western vocal modulations alongside classical music. I am trained in opera music.

I began my formal training in classical music with a 6-year course under the Chandigarh Gharana, which gave me a strong foundation in the technical aspects of vocal music. Singing, for me, is all about mastering the proper techniques first, and then focusing on performance. Over the years, I have developed methods that make learning both effective and enjoyable for my students.

Apart from teaching, I have performed in numerous stage shows, film playbacks, and even had my own album and single video releases. I was also ranked in the Top 20 in Indian Idol, which was a significant milestone in my singing career. These experiences have helped me understand the nuances of performance, which I now incorporate into my lessons.

My classes are designed to help students not just learn the notes and rhythms but also understand the essence of musical expression. I emphasize proper breathing, voice modulation, and pitch control, alongside the techniques that make a performance captivating. Each student receives individual attention, ensuring that they progress according to their abilities and comfort level.

I love working with students who are enthusiastic and eager to improve, whether they are beginners or have some prior experience in music. I guide them on stage presence, confidence, and performance techniques, ensuring that they are well-prepared for recitals, competitions, or personal satisfaction.

In addition to classical vocal training, I also mentor students on professional aspects of music, including recording, stage etiquette, and developing a personal style. I believe that a holistic approach to music education makes a student more versatile and confident as a performer.

I am fluent in Bengali, English, and Hindi, which allows me to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
